Show, Won't Tell

Show, Won't Tell is a documentary that explores the portrayal of sexual assault in media through the lens of lived experience. Combining personal storytelling, critical analysis, and conversations about representation, I examine how the stories we tell shape public understanding of trauma, healing, and survivorship. Through this project, I aim to spark honest dialogue about the impact of media narratives and the responsibility storytellers have when depicting difficult subjects.

As a filmmaker, I am drawn to stories that don't shy away from darkness. My work explores the intersection of personal narrative and social impact, using film and theatre to create space for conversations that are often left unspoken. I believe that storytelling can help people feel seen, less alone, and more connected to one another. Whether working in documentary or narrative forms, I strive to approach difficult topics with honesty, humanity, and a sense of hope.
